Why Liberty?

You might ask yourself, why come and visit Liberty? We are a growing Baptist church that seeks to glorify God, study the Scriptures, and encourage families. It is our desire to know God more through His Word, prayer, fellowship, ministry, and sound teaching. We also seek to worship God not only through Sunday services but through the entire week. Why don’t you stop by and visit us? You might be pleasantly surprised.

What is the Purpose of Liberty?

Our church desires to participate in vital tasks that the Scriptures have laid out for us. These include:
  • Worshipping God as a ongoing attitude and activity every day of the week (John 4:23-24)
  • Evangelizing the lost (Acts 1:8) by Christians who themselves have been changed (Matthew 5:16)
  • Making disciples according to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)
  • Fellowshipping with the brethren (Ephesians 4:7-16)
  • Ministering like Christ through serving others (John 13:1-17)
  • Following the Scriptures in all things (II Timothy 3:15-17)
  • Loving God supremely and completely (Matthew 22:37)
  • Loving others as Christ loved (Matthew 22:39-40; John 13:34-35)
Further, our church has a vision wherewith we move forward on a daily basis towards growing in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (II Pet. 3:18).

What is the Vision of Liberty?
  • A church built by those people who are a part of it, and people who are equipped to do the work of the ministry. (Eph. 4:13-15)
  • That each person would know its spiritual gift and be able to use it to further the church through evangelism and discipleship.
  • Each person should be taught how to make disciples. (Matt. 28:19-20)
  • Each person should learn to love God with his whole heart, soul, and mind (Matt. 22:37) and love one another as Christ has loved them (John 14:34).

Liberty Fundamental Baptist Church is characterized by the following distinctives:
  We are:
  1. An independent church--we belong to no denominational organization.
  2. A fundamental church--we will earnestly contend for and defend the faith once delivered to the saints
  3. A Baptist church--we believe in the great Baptist distinctives,
  • The sole authority of Scripture for faith and practice
  • Believer’s baptism by immersion only
  • The Priesthood of the individual believer
  • The autonomy and independence of the local church in all matters
  • The separation of the government from control over the church
  • A regenerate church membership
      4.    A Biblical church--that is, everything we believe, teach and practice is derived solely from the Bible
      5.    A Christ-centered church--Jesus Christ alone is the Head of His Church and the only One Who determines its beliefs and behavior
      6.    An evangelistic/missionary church--The Great Commission governs and guides us in  reaching a lost world with the message of salvation and             the winning of lost people to Christ
